Gentleman Gift Guide 2020

Hey, y’all! ‘Tis the season to shop for your loved ones — and to make your life easier, I have crafted a series of Kentucky-focused gift guides for your Holiday 2020! Next up? My 2020 gift guide for the Kentucky gentleman in your life. Gifts for him can be hard, I know — but, not this year!

Gentleman Gift Guide 2020

EF Meeks: Tie + Bow Tie

Based in Lexington, EF Meeks is a Kentucky-made fashion line that asserts that “looking good is a family tradition”. His designs are classic, southern, and innately preppy — I adore everything that he does! That said, I think the ties + bow ties are my favorite items that he produces. From Keeneland to Churchill Downs, an EF Meeks tie will have the man in your life stylin’ and profilin’. Shop EF Meeks here.

Shelby Horse Supply: Leather Personalized Belt (Gold Plate)

There are few items that a Kentucky gentleman needs more than a classic leather belt. In my biased opinion, I’d recommend a brown leather with a gold name plate (I like using initials), as it is both timeless and southern. The leather at Shelby Horse Supply is second to none in terms of quality + appearance. Shop here.

Heaven Hill: Elijah Craig

Heaven Hill is a family-owned and operated distillery founded in 1935 and headquartered in Bardstown, Kentucky; they produce and market the Heaven Hill brand of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and a variety of other distilled spirits.

Elijah Craig is one of my favorite brands from Heaven Hill — both the bourbon + the accompanying lines (pictured) are top-notch. You can shop Elijah Craig goods in many shops around the state; be sure to visit Heaven Hill in Bardstown and the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in Downtown Louisville while you’re at it!

Sunhouse Craft: Leather Dustpan + Broom; Salted Maple Serving Board

Sunhouse Craft is a true embodiment of Appalachian craft. Made in the rolling hills of Appalachia (Berea, Kentucky), the wooden wares are handmade, often hewn with axe and knife, while the brooms are handwoven via a non-electric process. All wood is locally-farmed, sustainably-sourced and harvested. Shop Sunhouse Craft here.

Ruth Hunt Candy: Bourbon Balls

Need I say more? My favorites are the Woodford ReserveĀ® Licensed Bourbon Balls, which are produced by Ruth Hunt Candy. Based in Mt. Sterling, Ruth Hunt will celebrate it’s centennial birthday next year! You can shop the bourbon balls here; shop the entire Ruth Hunt Candy collection here.

What are you planning to gift the Kentucky gentleman in your life this year?

Y’all come back now, ya hear?

My best,

JC
